Well...My name is Jen and I live in Oregon (now with my girlfriend Dee, YAY!). I love to do crafty stuff though I am not consistently at it. I am fairly decent at mosaics [link] trying to become fairly decent (but still pretty sucky) at quilting [link] and pottery [link] and I like to take pictures [link]

Well, the trip has been over for a few months now, the big move complete...and I am loving life. Yay! It took such a long time to be able to say that! I have the worlds best girlfriend (took me forever (27 of my 28.5 years) to come to that conclusion too, LOL). It is such a change to not be living alone anymore...and it is a very big change to be treated as an equal, a partner, and as a best friend. I seem to be so busy experiencing life that I have not put alot of time into my art, which is okay.

I am slowly working on a "one-block wonder" quilt [link] and hope to be done before the year is up so I can send it to my mom and have her quilt it, hehe, as well as Dee and I have been knitting all sorts of hats from babies to huge headed monsters for charity.

Mosaics...well...I smash glass better when I am morose. Thinking about giving it up and turning in a new crafty direction, such as pottery (I wonder if I can have a kiln in my garage, Dee will kill me, I am so glad she is patient)...but I have no idea how to at least recoup costs and sell the glass (there is TONS OF IT).

I'm relatively new to deviant art and I'm currently doing a stained glass course... I've been looking for inspiration and I think I've found it!

You mosaics are pure awesome- the Wave Off Kanagaw in particular!

One of the things I don't like about Deviant art is that its flooded with fan art- and its hard to come across unique original art- but here is a breath of fresh air!

Thank you! I would like to learn how to do more precise cutting, so I can do leaded stained glass as well but think I need to get a glass saw first!

The only time I need to use my glass saw in when I need to cut a piece that is too hard to cut by hand. Usually my leaf design or ornament design is too curvy. Most of the time I don't need to use the band saw. It's great also for cutting tile when I put some up in the shower. I was thrilled I could cut my own tile. Ha!
